Anyone know a good, affordable landscape designer?
We are looking for a reasonably priced firm that can offer design advice and do construction (deck, hardscape) at our home in Foster City.
Polyscapes and Picture Perfect are both good. I recommend getting a quote from both and then choose one after an informal interview.
Polyscapes Landscape Construction Incorporated
Picture Perfect Landscape & Maintenance
Stay away from Ray's Garden Design (through Carlmont Nursery). We used them for an entire relandscaping of our backyard and then decided to also use the same company for the maintenance service. It has been an exercise in frustration in dealing with them (always telling you a tall story as to why something is not done). They also did some irreparable damage to my plants.
Try Don Modica Landscaping in Redwood City: (650) 365-2134 Don was referred to me by a neighbor, and I had him quote the lawsn for my father's property. Don was very personable with my dad and although my dad thought it was a bit expensive, Don didn't seem to try to pressure my dad nor take advantage of his lack of landscape budget knowledge. I never met Don personally but my neighbor referred him with absolute confidence.
