Hi All, Well, I am 13 years out of college and I finally can afford to get my diploma framed! Anyone know of a place that will do this for me without costing me an arm and leg that's in Redwood City or surrounding area? Michelle

I have had good results using Michael's for framing and the prices are very reasonable. That has been in the San Mateo store and I don't know about the one in RWC. Here is their webcard...

Framing doesn't have to be expensive. There are a few places on the Peninsula that would probably suit a very nice frame-job. Try Cheap Pete's or Aaron Brothers for do-it-yourself (I think Aaron's also does custom framing, so you have a choice). There's also a place called the Great Frame Up that I haven'd used, but I've seen them on Smalltown. Random note: how cool is it that we can attach the info on businesses with our replies? Saves SO much time!!

I own The Great Frame Up on West 25th Avenue in San Mateo. We frame diplomas all the time. Depending on the size of your diploma, I would say prices start at about $135 for a fairly simple design with a double mat, conservation glass, and a mahogany veneer frame. It's certainly possible to get a very nice frame design for between $135 and $250. Come on in with your diploma and we'll try out some different designs.
