Pet Fair DoodyCalls Police Foundation
Here is a recap of the event. Thanks to all that contributed!! Wow, the Family Pet Expo was a great success for the Police K9 Foundation and the K9 departments in general. Here are some highlights. SSF PD demo on Friday set the tone, once the producer of the show seen that we were requested to be on the KRON am Sat. News. On Saturday am the San Mateo Sheriffs Depart stepped up with a car release demo. Then Morgan the Blood Hound stole the show. Henry Tenibum of KRON and Henry's Garden made sure to have him on. Morgan being the pro was totally relaxed (was on Method Busters). For Henry's Garden Show Belmont and Atherton teamed up to put on a show stopper with a full body suite Demo which received the most air time. On Sunday due to the coverage allot of the public came in just to see the demos and donate to the cause. So Sunday turned out to be a very good fund raiser day. San Bruno and Belmont put on a demo and the public loved it and made a bee line to donate. Many officers took there personal time to walk around the event to promote and greet the public. Donations of Note: $1,500 donated for vests buy an individual donor. $500 donated for vests buy an individual donor. (Requested for SSF) Two International Armor vests were donated by Breeder's choice. These will be sent to the 101st airborne through the Atherton PD. Raffle raised another minimum of $ 1,000. ($2,300 worth of donated items from vendors at the fair!) So we should be able to supply 5 more vests!!
