New business in town
You may want to start by joining a Business Referral Network group (BRN) from the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce. It's a great way to promote your business and network with other business owners that may be able to help! Call Ed at the Chamber office and get more info on meeting dates and times. Our Group meets on every Tuesday at 7:30am in the Franklin Templeton Building.
I would recomend smalltown.com and here is why: Smalltown is a member-based local community website where businesses and residents can easily post, share and discover everything about their town through Smalltown Webcards. A Webcard is similar to a mini website where one can find reviews, photos, videos, discussions and business promotions. Since launching in October, 2006, Smalltown now serves communities from Millbrae to San Carlos, has over 21,000 Webcards in its directory, over 14,000 local members, and approximately 30,000 visitors per month. Smalltown is the ultimate “word of mouth” advertising with all the efficiencies of the Internet. Questions call me at 650-340-8696 ask for John
I am a memeber of the BRN 1 group and it has been a great way to network and generate business. We have generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue. The first two meetings are free to attend so there is no harm in visiting the group and sharing business cards, etc.
