This place has the only burrito in the world that I will eat the entire thing in one sitting it's so good. The chicken teriyaki burrito not only has some heavenly creamy- sauce stuff, but also a canteloupe/mango salsa and teriyaki rice! Man, oh man is it delicious. And it's good in the tacos too! My bf always gets the Coyote chicken burrito and he loves it.
At one time this was the only place to go for taco, burrito, and a side of chips. I think it may have been trhrough a few ownership changes, becuase it's just not a good as it once was. I used to have no problem paying a bit extra but now I second guess decsions to go there. Still pretty good, though. Steak is a tender as can be and chips are solid.
Great Mexican food, in a random location. Okay, so this plaza pretty much has a bit of everything, but you just can't go wrong with a burrito from Coyote's for lunch. Love the salsa selection and the friendly staff. If I continue eating here, I'll need to wean myself of meaty cheesy burritos and start ordering salads! Thank goodness they also have salads on the menu here.
Stopped in here for a quick bite and was delighted with the quick service, generous portions, friendly staff and unique interior. The burrito I ordered was delicious and the chips and salsa kept my hunger at bay for the 80 seconds it took to get me my burrito :-) …talk about quick service! It’s a locally owned business and not some generic Mexican fast food chain so that along should entice you to visit and support them. It was recommend by Stan who owns Dolly’s Treasures as one of his favorite local restaurants so I figured it must be good. He was right. I’d recommend you try them if you’re in the area.
The burritos are amazing here, as other people have been commenting. They are very, very generous with the fillings (beans beans beans) and the carne asada is one of the best I've had! My favorite is the sun-dried tomatoe chipotle wet burrito. It makes me feel like Miss Manners to use a fork and knife to eat a burrito. I like this place because the menu is simple yet inventive -- could've sworn I saw peanut butter in there somewhere...
I love the quesadillas here and the decore is very southwestern. it is worth the trip.
I'm a big fan of the burritos here. Give 'em a try.
I work in San Mateo and don't get out to Belmont too often. So, it came as a nice surprise to find a great lunch spot in the Carlmont Shopping Center. The only problem was deciding which item to try off the menu. The buttitos & fajitas looked good, but I opted for something lighter the mixed green salad, topped with grilled chicken. Very tasty, but the wet, chipotle beef burrito my friend ordered looked even more appetising. Well, next time I'm in Belmont...
