Snoring?
My wife says if I don't stop she's going to smother me with my own pillow...so has anyone got any suggestions to help me either stop snoring or maybe help squeltch the noise without surgery?
Try the Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic. I know several people that have been helped there. http://www.stanfordhospital.com/clinicsmedServices/clinics/sleep/sleepDisorders.html
Snoring can be a sign of Sleep Apnea, a very serious condition that can make you sleepy during the day and denies you body's systems of the oxygen they need. Many people don't take it seriously because (1) one doesn't hear one's own snoring and (2) snoring just doesn't sound like a medical problem. IMHO you should consider doing a sleep study to find out if you are suffering from Sleep Apnea. It is easy, insurance covers it, and there is a simple cure. If nothing else, your wife will sleep better ;-) Read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_apnea
Hi - having just gone thru this with my husband (actually reaching a point where I was spending most nights in the guest room) I would suggest doing the sleep study at Stanford if your snoring has become increasingly loud. We found out that my husband has a profound case of sleep apnea. With the mask he is now sleeping so restfully, doesn't even need his afternoon caffeine break. And the guest room is now just for guests.
Sequoia Hospital has a sleep disorder center as well, and you can do an overnight test there. They're very nice people, too.
Try hyperbaric oxygen and we might have some oils that would work for you. oxygen with attitude hyperbaric healing center 650-654 9268
