I'm looking for someone to play tennis with on a regular basis. I love tennis, hate the gym, and am needing regular exercise. Gravity is relentless!? I'm a female who just retired, with intermediate tennis skills. My serve is usually reliable though hardly unreturnable. I have no net game but the ground strokes are OK. Would someone like to try me out? I live in Belmont and usually play at Hallmark Park but I'm flexible. The time is open as well, from 8 a.m. to dark. Thanks, Micki (mickicartr@aol.com)

Tennis rules. : ) San Mateo Parks & Recreation I believe has drop in clinics at Central Park and also at the Beresford Rec Center on Alameda. I'm sure all of the Parks & Rec would be terrific resources for both drop-in and league information, and the Highlands Rec Center (also in San Mateo) has a league as well. Tennis is an incredible, life-long sport (I've been playing for almost 30 years). Sounds like you're going to have some fun! Take care -
