i love its-it ice cream real good ice cream sandwiches in mint, chocolate, the classic vanilla and coffee! i used to always eat them at my old middle school but now i just buy them at the local grocery store. or u can go to the factory and buy them there as well.
I went here just one time, but it was impressive for me, I mean it was great. The taste was not bad and I felt comfortable.
I love vanilla ice cream and usually resisit any additives other than almonds and chocolate. But this unique combination of ice cream and oatmeal cookie dipped in chocolate is truly genuis at work. Perfect! If they would only add almonds....
Get one or two, these are the simpliest idea and yet sooooo good, can we buy them direct? Michael the Milkman used to carry them.
This IS the BomB! never had one? What? The best mix of cooike and ice cream.
I lived in Gilroy and San Jose as a child and then returned to Palo Alto for college. Since you can't buy these elsewhere my time in the Bay was to a certain extent defined by the availability of these ice cream sandwiches. This isn't simply childhood nostalgia, however: these things are probably the best ice cream sandwiches I've ever tasted with hearty oatmeal cookies and ice cream covered in chocalate. I've tried toll house and essentia brands but neither could compare in texture and flavor. If you're in the Bay make sure to get one and if you live in the Bay don't take them for granted!
If you drive on 101 you've seen the sign: The IT'S IT Ice Cream company is in Burlingame. This tasty treat is a Peninsula institution.
You've probably already enjoyed the classic ice cream sandwich cookie, but they actually have a variety of ice cream choices.
Super Sundae - vanilla ice cream covered with chocolate and peanuts.
Big Daddy - vanilla ice cream between two dark chocolate wafers.
Super Cone - a big scoop of vanilla covered with chocolate and peanuts.
Chips IT - vanilla ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies.
Juanita found them all at Three Bees Coffee!
There are some tried and true things that work with ice cream: chocolate and nuts, to be exact. If you prefer a great vanilla ice cream over some crazy ben and jerry's concoction, then IT'S IT has got you covered.
What I like about IT'S-IT is that they deliver the ice cream and more in a format sure to please: sandwich, cone, and stick.
