Pancho Villa Taqueria
|
Not many restaurants can boast a feature in Bon Appetit Magazine for "Best of the Year" in San Francisco. How great, then, that we have a paralleled distinction here in San Mateo? Pancho Villa Restaurant is a bustling, traditional taqueria that serves generous portions with fresh ingredients at reasonable prices, and this "give 'em what they want" approach is well-received among eatery enthusiasts. And with an array of menu choices to quell that craving, Pancho Villa's dining distinction is why you'll keep coming back for more.

![]() 3rd Annual International Conference on "Engaging The OTHER": The Power of Compassion (ETO)
September 4 - 7, 2008, San Francisco (San Mateo), California
An International, Multidisciplinary, Multicultural Conference examining concepts of "The OTHER" from a universal, cross-cultural perspective to promote wider public dialogue about images of "Us and Them." The conference addresses the roots of negative stereotyping and prejudice, how to move past artificial barriers of misunderstanding and distrust to cultivate compassion and capacity for appreciation of diversity, reconciliation, and peace, and how to apply the results to the current state of world relationships. It is held in conjunction with an upcoming edited book in progress of the same name addressing psycho-social concepts of "The Other" in a cross-cultural forum.
WE INVITE YOU TO:
an extraordinary international conference to address the roots of fear based belief systems and negative stereotypes, prejudice, polarization, enemy images, and artificial barriers of misunderstanding and distrust that divide us.
JOIN an international list of presenters and visionaries, and engage in 3 1/2 days of focused, facilitated dialogue, bridging the divide and cultivating our capacity for reconciliation, appreciation of diversity, and peace.
The ETO Conference, like the edited book, is an integrated collaboration to examine this fundamentally subjective phenomenon with an inclusive, multicultural eye.
Registration is Open to the Public. See our website for more information and registration details.

For over 45 years, the Service League has helped make San Mateo County communities safer by providing vital support
services to inmates and their families. The Service League
develops and delivers in- custody programs that prepare
inmates to re-enter society, and residential programs that
offer unique education, job training and rehabilitation services to recently-released inmates. These programs help make our neighborhoods safer by providing inmates and their families with a critical support network that greatly reduces the likelihood that they will return to jail. By providing a foundation of skills and by fostering a sense of hope, former inmates can become contributing citizens and responsible family members.

These folks are professional and super friendly! As a first timer for DIY dog bathing, they not only showed me the ropes, but showed me how the pros get matted hair out from my long-haired flat coated retriever. My 2 yr old was even entertained while mom learned :-) a real bargin at $15. I'll be back every month.
