My name is Karen and I have over 15 years of infant-child care experience. I love children and animals and have been taking care of children as young as 5 months since the age of twelve. I have always had a passion for children and truly enjoy interacting with them and watching them learn and grow. My experience caring for infants is fairly extensive. As I mentioned, I've taken care of infants as a young babysitter, and over the last several years have built up quite a clientele. In addition, I have taken courses in Child Development and watched my nieces and nephews as well a several girlfriends' children over the years. I'm currently nannying 30 hours per week in Palo Alto on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to about 6 p.m. However, I am available Wednesdays and Thursdays and am definitely interested in providing occasional evening/weekend and fill-in/spur-of-the-moment childcare when available. I am compassionate, conscientious, reliable, energetic, easy-going, and fun. I believe in engaging children in a positive, constructive, nurturing environment. I understand the importance of being supportive, patient, and understanding. I am certified in CPR and First Aid, have a clean driving record, and excellent references.
