My sister is getting back pain again from stress and she's only 23! I wanted to get her some prepaid sessions with a chiropractor a la Red Doors (the movie... nevermind if you haven't seen it).
Can anyone recommend an awesome chiropractor in the downtown San Mateo area that has flexible hours? I don't want to schedule appointments for way out -- I want relief to be instanteous! I wish.
Let me know if you have any suggestions,

I'm looking for a broad day camp that offers activities like arts and crafts and sports (swimming, etc). I've not been happy with FC's Rec Center. I guess I'm looking for the camp I went to when I was a kid, before all the specialization.
Hello I’m looking for some fun camps around San Mateo for the summer.
I am seeking a reasonably priced, honest, reliable handyman who takes pride in his/her work to do odd-jobs, such as installing pre-hung doors, painting, fence-building, minor electrical, etc. Can anyone recommend a handyman? Thanks much for any recommendations.
I just found out that my Curves location in downtown SM is closing. I really liked the "women only, 30 minute workout" concept, and the downtown location was perfect for me. I'd like to know if anyone can recommend a replacement gym for me. Thanks for the help!
I was wondering if someone has contact information for one person to help me with odd jobs in the garden. Several months ago I saw some in this community were using a young adult named Kevin and his mother, but my budget will only allow for one person.
I need to dig out several boxwoods, an agapanthus, and one other bush. In addition, I also have various other items that I need help with in the garden. (I'll be posting these plants on freecycle.org.)
Please give me your (or their) contact info and idea of the hourly rate.
Thanks!

I would to have some Slip Covers made for a couch and loveseat. I'd like some new recommendations from anyone who's had them made recently. thanks! Betsy in Belmont
Hi,

Zenni Optical offers $8 eyeglasses ordered over the web. Has anyone used them and what is your opinion of their service and product?
My daughter is graduating 8th grade and would like to get her hair done for the graduation dance in mid-June. The lady who cuts my hair isn't so great at styling, so I'm asking you guys -- can you recommend someone FOR STYLING ONLY in San Carlos, Belmont, RWC, or San Mateo? My daughter has long hair and would like some sort of "up-do."
I need to renew my passport. We are thinking about a Mexican cruise and my passport expires very soon. Sometimes they require that your passport is valid for at least six more months. I know that it can be done at the Post Office on Laurel, but I heard horror stories about the wait and very rude treatment there.
Any good sources for freshly baked pita? Thanks!
I've heard that the best time to trim trees is in the winter. I've got three trees that need trimming and shaping. Recommendations for a good tree expert?
Hi -- does anyone know of any dog-friendly trails in the area? I love to run off the beaten path but often want to bring my pooch along. Thanks in advance!
Hi. We're are planning to place a bid on a home soon, without using
our own realtor. Does anyone know of a real estate expert who would help us write up the bid, or at least take a look at it to make sure we've covered everything? thanks!
I'm looking for a good lawyer who I can have a free consultation.
Does anyone know a good attorney who practices in the field of immigration law? Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a retaining wall contractor that specializes in hillsides in the Belmont and San Carlos areas? Thanks.
My luggage got lost in March and the airline I flew took responsibility.
After a lengthy process of filling out forms, they have finally reimbursed me. However, the dollar amount they reimbursed me is about 50% below the value of the goods I claimed. Plus, I had asked for some kind of reimbursement for the time and frustration it took me to replace all the items, my lost vacation time, etc. Of course, none of this was reimbursed.
I am contemplating taking the airline to small claims court but have never been through a small claims court procedure. Is the small claims court process a time-consuming task? As I have heard, it is pretty straight forward. Second, if I lose, what kind of court fees am I responsible for?
Has anyone had any success challenging a airline in this type of situation? Any other important information to consider?
Thanks in advance. Your answers are always appreciated.
A local art teacher, who used to have a studio on 25th Avenue in San Mateo, recently moved her studio to a house in San Carlos. She has been giving her art classes there for a couple of months. Unfortunately some neighbors are complaining to the City about the "traffic" that this brings to their street and she has been forced to shut down her entire summer art program.
My kids were enrolled in the program and now we are incredibly disappointed.
If you know of an available place where she could move her art school, either temporarily or permanently, please let me know so I can pass on the information to her. I think she would prefer to stay in the San Carlos/RWC/Belmont/San Mateo/Foster City area. I don't know what her budget is, but I think she needs one or two rooms, including a bathroom. An extra sink for washing out brushes would also be good. A commercial space or a rental house would probably be good. I assume that she would prefer a commercial space so that there wouldn't be any future "neighbor" problems. But maybe she'd consider a rental house just for the summer.
If you know of ANYTHING or know of a realtor who could help, please email me: canyonheathmom@yahoo.com
Thank you!!!
Hi,
Trying to find a reliable, reasonably-priced company to replace our
garage door. Anybody recently replaced their garage door, is happy with the work, and it did not cost an arm-n'-a leg? Please let me know. Thanks so much!
P.S. I also want to thank everybody who took time to respond to my
passport renewal question. Many thanks to all of you!
Is there much difference or is one route better than the other-- I'm in SM near Hwy 92 bridge going to Grass Valley. I can go across the SM bridge, take 580 to I 5 and then proceed OR I can go across the SM bridge, take I80 to Sacramento and proceed OR -- my last choice up the peninsula across the Bay Bridge and then I-80. They all look to be nearly the same in mileage and time-- I've never been the I-5 route.
Comments or suggestions?
Hi. I'm going to redo my flooring in bamboo hardwood and am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for someone who is good but not expensive. Thanks!
Need to have about 220 sq ft of oak hardwood floor refinished (and about 24 sq ft of same repaired/ replaced).
Looking for recommendations for a good, reliable hardwood floor refinisher.
Thanks!
I just spent a weekend copying every bit of digital data I own onto a new Maxtor Hard Drive and now it won't mount. Seagate, the company that owns Maxtor, offered to recover the data and replace the drive with a refurbished one for twice what the original drive cost. Even though the drive is only a few weeks old and still under warranty. I'm convinced the data is fine; the problem is probably with the power supply or some other hardware. So... can anyone recommend a good data recovery service... preferrably someone local?
Thanks!
I am having some connection problems on my computer and am hoping someone has an idea of the problem before I have to call someone and pay $$$. I called my ISP, SBC/AT&T and they say because it is a 3rd party issue, it will cost me $100.
I am using Vista. I AM able to connect to the internet and also receive and send out my email without any problems, however, here is the problem that began a week or so ago:
When I start up my computer my trend micro antivirus comes up with a msg saying "Without a working connection to the internet, you cannot download the latest updates that help keep your computer safe. Please reconnect your computer to the internet immediately". This is strange since I am already connected to the internet.
When I'm in Craigslist, for example, if I want to reply to an ad and click on the email address given, the message I get says "Couldn't perform this operation because the default mail client isn't properly installed".
If I click on "OK" the next message comes up and says I can click to diagnose the connection problem and then that comes up saying to contact my ISP.
The third problem is similar to the second one - if I have an email open and I want to click on an email address in the body of the email, I get pretty much the same error message as the one I get in Craigslist.
The only thing I have done different on this computer prior to this happening was to install Word 2000. I use Office 2007 but some places can't/won't accept the new word document format thus I thought I'd install the old word program. I have since uninstalled the Word 2000 program and I think my problems began shortly thereafter but not sure if they could be connected.
I'm sorry to be long-winded here but am hoping someone has some suggestions before I have to put out $100+ to resolve this problem. Really, the email and "Craigslist" issue I can work around but it's the anti-virus one I'm more concerned with. I know once one is resolved they will all be resolved though.
Thanks so much!
Is there a favorite chinese restaurant here in san mateo that you like? my neighbor just recommended Silver Lake on El Camino but we were disappointed. We don't particularly like Uncle Chen, nor the one in the Marina Plaza on Norfolk. My favorite is in San Bruno called Innya Lake (chinese/burmese) but it is way too far to go as is the one in Menlo Park.
Hi All,
We are planning on having our wood floors in our kitchen refinished. Should we move all the food, dishes, etc from the cabinets? I am not sure how much dust this will kick up but everyone keeps telling me it is a lot. I don't want to open the cabinets and have a quarter inch thick of wood shavings on the dishes. What have other people done in the past?
Thanks in advance.
I need to get a business suit for a very important interview but don't know where I can find one that would fit my style and my size. I am a petite 2 or 4. Someones also suggested that I could get a wardrobe consultant at Nordstrom or Saks to help me with that. Does anyone have any experience with a wardrobe consultant at one of those stores to recommend to me? I live in Palo Alto and am willing to travel within about 40-50 miles radius. Thanks.
I am looking for a car service who will pick up elderly family members in Palm Springs, drive them to the Bay Area and return them to the Palm Springs. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Our 4 month old puppy is still waking up in the middle of the night. We have had for over a month now. I have heard that puppies can go through the night at 3 months old. We let her out at about 3:30am-4:00am. She is crate trained but barks at that time and then again around 5:30, 6:30. I don't let her out until 7:00am. But we are getting very tired!!! Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help. Signed Tired and frustrated
We just got a labradoodle who is around 18 months old and stil pulls on the leash. We found a device at WalMart called "Anti-pull harness" by Yuppie Puppy. Does this work? Is there any special technique we should be aware when we use it? Thanks in advance.
I have a 5-1/2 month old Irish Wolfhound pup that I'd like to get into some training, both conformation (Wolfhound Specialty is in 6 weeks) and obedience training, perhaps even some lure coursing which it looks like he might just do good at.
I've trained a Great Dane and an Irish Wolfhound with Skyline Dog Fanciers (no longer have classes) and San Mateo Dog Training Club (classes don't start until September), but *little* Conan needs the show ring environment with other dogs around that all have to behave. He loves the dog park and people so socialization is not a problem - or rather, IS the problem.
I'd like to stay very local in the San Mateo area as my business is consuming quite a few hours right now.
Recommendations anyone?
Years ago, there were many shops who would make a custom t-shirt, i.e. with text & photo provided by customer. They seem to have ceased to exist. Does anyone know where I might have the job done?
I need to find a new accountant to do my taxes. I also need to do some estate planning. And I could use some financial advice to help with my investments. If there is one person or local company that could do all those things, it would help with tax planning and so on. Does that make sense? If so, can anyone recommend a consultant or company that would provide a one-stop-shop for all my financial planning, investment and tax preparation needs? Thanks!
Can anyone recommend a local Italian restaurant that caters? I don't
need any services and will pick up the food. I was going to use Di
Neri's in San Mateo but found that it had been sold to a new owner. I
am serving a lunch for about 20 people and am looking for quality food with emphasis on the more familiar dishes like chicken cacciatore, involtini, lasagna or simple pastas.
Our company uses II Fornaio for its catering needs and they are outstanding. Food is hot, delicious and plentiful. Service is great. Are there others?
Hi! I'm getting married later this summer, and a number of things in my life have taken a financial priority. So I have to get creative with my new and challenging budget. Renting a gown is honestly not my first choice, but my husband-to-be has to rent his dream day togs, so I figured I could, too. : ) Does anyone know of any local rental shops that offer gowns?
On that same note, does anyone have any ideas for inexpensive, unique ceremony and/or reception sites? Thanks in advance!
Preferably in San Mateo. Our insurance pays much better for dentists in the Aetna plan, so we're going to switch dentists. Recommendations?
The (San Carlos) school district recently tested my child and according to their own testing, my child needs speech therapy. However, they have told me that since she is in a private school they cannot provide therapy, only "consulting".
Is this true? Does anyone know of families that had to switch their
kids to public school in order to get these services? (I have more
than one child in this situation) Any input would be appreciated.
Hello,
We are about fed up with Bank of America. Customer service is
non-existent, despite our "premier banking account." Can anybody recommend a local bank that is customer friendly, responsive, doesn't forget to send you ATM cards on time, etc.? Perhaps a Credit Union of some sort? WaMu advertises itself heavily, how are they in "real life"?
Any leads or suggestions are most appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
Vera
I'm looking for vegetarian or vegan restaurants on the peninsula. I've found Merit Vegetarian in Sunnyvale, and of couse a few in San Francisco. Now I'm looking for something closer. (Not looking for places with vegetarian dishes, or veggie "friendly" places, just veggie / vegan restaurants.)
Thanks!
Does anyone know where to recycle used computer CD's?
thank you!
We are thinking of making a short trip to Lassen on our way to Susanville. We would arrive in the afternoon, spend the night in a local motel, visit the park the next day and leave in the evening for Susanville.
Questions:
(1) Is Lassen worth going out of the way for? Is it scenic with lots of forests, or simply a lot of rocky volcanic scenery?
(2) Are there an abundance of motels in the area?
(3) Is it pet friendly? Can we take our four-legged friend on the trails?
(4) Are there lots of easy hiking trails for young children and dogs? Picnic areas? Etc...
(5) How are the roads around there? Windy and mountainous, or not too bad?
(6) Does the park get crowded on Memorial Day weekend, or is it so isolated that it's not as popular as Yosemite and other national parks?
For Reno...
We would arrive in the afternoon, spend the night in a local motel, visit the city the next day and leave in the evening for Susanville.
Questions:
Are there places in Reno that are pet and child friendly, we'll both our two-legged and four-legged boys with us? Places like parks, trails, etc...? Or is everything casinos and gambling?
Thanks!
Hello. I work in San Mateo, but live in San Jose. I am trying to find a gym up here that I can go to month to month. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have a "sick" sprinkler system, which includes a faucet that is leaking. I have unsuccessfully had my gardner "mess" with it.
Know anyone good with sprinkler systems/leaking pipes outdoors???
I have an 02 Cabrio and am looking for a dependable German car repair specialist. I would love some recommendations! Thank you.
I want to buy a home, but the market right now is a little shaky and I am concerned about the future. I was curious as to what people think and if anyone else is as freaked out but also excited about this?
Hi. I have a lot of old magazines that I want to give away. They're all 2008 & it's a mix of various types - sports, business, fashion, general entertainment, etc. I feel that this can still be put to good use. I searched our archives & at one time, Vicky was collecting for our troops abroad. But I'm not sure if she still does. Any ideas on who may want these? It would be a shame to just recycle. Please let me know. Thanks!
Hi everyone: this post is in response to the person who had such a bad experience with his/her hometown smoke shop. I wanted to let folks know about the Burlingame Smoke Shop; if you ever find yourself downtown, pop in to this funky little shop. Their webcard is attached below. Do other folks know of any other somewhat hidden troves along the Peninsula?
I can't remember which organization in Belmont sponsored a free paper-shredding day in the police dept parking lot. A huge truck shredder ate your documents on-site! Does anyone remember who sponsored that service?
I have tons of old bank statements, check-books, personal identity stuff that needs to get shredded -- much more than I can do at home.
I am looking for any referrals for doctors in the area who are knowledgeable about and prescribe bio-identical hormones. I need someone who understands natural hormone replacement and multiple hormones and specializes in anti-aging medicine. Thanks for any leads!
My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with mild scoliosis last year.
On her follow-up x-ray, done about a year later, the curve got worse by almost 10 degrees -- now it's 27 degrees! I'm afraid she may need a body brace. We're all really upset about this.
I'm taking her to my orthopedist in Redwood City (she also saw him
last year), but I was wondering if there are any scoliosis specialists in San Mateo or Santa Clara counties that anyone would want to recommend to me? Maybe someone at Stanford or up in the City who is an expert in the field that you or someone you know has had a good experience with?
Thank you so much!!!!!
I'm searching for a knowledgable landscaper who also offers a maintenance service once the selection and planting are done. From past history, I know the cost of ongoing maintenance can vary widely and I'd like to find someone who's fees are reasonable once the plants are in. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
For the second year in a row, yellow jackets have decided to build a nest in our outdoor grill. I had the nest removed last year and ran the grill full on for a long period of time in the hopes that whatever attracted them there would be burned off, but they're back again. Any ideas on how to keep them away permanently?
Looking for ideas to celebrate a 50th birthday with a medium-large group. Would be in January. A tropical-themed venue would be ideal. Also looking at a roller skating party or go karting in Burlingame. Give me some fun/unique ideas.
Does anyone know someone who does small furniture repair jobs? I have a desk drawer that needs some work.
Hey, all! Happy Spring. I need to get a big yard clean-updone:
clearing ivy and blackberries, weed-pulling, tidying all the beds and pruning some overgrowth. Recommendations for a good company?
Must be bonded and insured.
I am looking for a trusted auto mechanic in San Mateo, can someone recommend a good one they know?
Thanks.
If the San Mateo Curves is closing you might want to try the Foster City Curves. I think you will be pleasantly surprised how nice it is compared to what you were use to.
I am considering conducting a study on the effects of acupuncture on panic disorders or anxiety.
I am wanting to see if there are any individuals in the San Mateo Area who either have (1) a panic disorder or (2) anxiety. If you are this individual and are interested in being a participant in this type of study, please contact me with the answers to a few questions below.
If you know anyone who would be interested in participating, please forward this to them. Thank you.
Email to: info@meridiansoflight.com
1. What is your age?
2. How long have you had anxiety?
3. Do you also have depression (and for how long)?
Regarding Panic Disorder...
4. How often do you have panic attacks? (ex: once per week, once per month, once every 3 months?)
5. In the past, what has triggered your panic attacks?
6. Does the idea of laying on a massage table with acupuncture needles on your body, in a relatively small room (10x10 feet) make you feel anxious?
Thank you so much for your time.
If I continue to develop this research study, I will contact you.
I need to provide my employeer one business head-shot photo, taken in an electronic (digital) format. Can anyone recommend a photographer in the San Carlos, Belmont, RWC area?
Thanks for your help.
going to a sushi party and need to find the best place to get fresh hamachi and maguro... any suggestions?
Is Suruki the place to go?
San Mateo has such lovely weather. I'm always on the lookout for restaurants with an outdoor patio (not just tables on the street). So, far I've found Prince of Wales and Waterfront Pizza over in Foster City.
Any other suggestions?
Gator's Neo Soul is a great addition to downtown San Mateo's restaurant scene. And I've heard he's expanding with a jazz bar. He's got about 16 reviews by neighbors... Someone please tell him to make his Webcard! ;-)
Can anyone recommend a local resource for an intermediate to advanced course in using Word 2003? I'm familiar with the basics but want to master some of the fine points, such as inserting comments, formatting, sections, various views, etc. I check all the community college schedules but have never seen a course like the one I am seeking.
Thanks!
I'm looking for a good resource for shop at home curtains, shades and blinds. Has anyone worked with anyone that you liked and was
reasonably priced? I'm looking for someone to come to my house and make suggestions as to what should go on the windows, measure and do the install.
If you know of a local company that does this, I would really
appreciate it. Thanks!
Does anyone have experiences with local firms they would like to share?
Thank you, David
I am looking for a painter to paint the trims on my house, a small job. Does anyone have a recommendation?
I am getting married in August in Woodside and am looking for recommendations for a wedding ceremony singer. Specifically we are looking for a male to sing a few contemporary songs accompanied by guitars. Please let me know if you have anybody who may be interested. Thanks!
A very dear friend of mine is supposed to have an MRI scan on his liver. (He does not have any problems with alcohol; this is for an entirely unrelated matter.) However, he is severely claustrophobic and is agonizing over the procedure, saying it will make him feel as though he's in a coffin.
Due to other medical issues, sedation (even a Valium ) is not an option. I suggested some relaxation training but this takes time, which he does not have. But the MRI absolutely must be done.
I had an idea but don't know if it's feasible at all, so wanted some input before I offered my thoughts to my already-anxious friend. My Q: is it necessary that his head be enclosed in the MRI bore for the test? I know the liver is situated about midpoint in the torso, but couldn't he just be placed in the MRI tube part-way, sufficient so that his liver can be scanned but his head is not inside the tube?
I don't need an official medical opinion, just something from your general knowledge about the procedure. Thanks
Hi -- does anyone know any theatres in the area that show black-and-white and/or foreign films? I go to the Varsity in Palo Alto but with this great weather, it sure would be great to walk to downtown San Mateo or Burlingame for some old-school flicks. Maybe even the century theatre on B Street could have a week-long vintage-fest. Is anyone else interested in this?
I've had it with the unreliability of my current cell phone and am looking for a new carrier. I'm leaning towards Verizon but they don't appear to let customers roll over unused minutes to the next month. Any recommendations or warnings from this community re: carriers?
Hello Neighbors,
I'm looking for a Civil Engineer who's experienced with earthquake upgrades of older houses, preferably in San Francisco, but Peninsula is also OK.
Thanks in advance,

Hi - we are looking for recommendations for a good tennis coach for our 10-year old son. Our son is already quite a good player so we are looking for someone who is both good with kids and can bring him up to the next level technically.
Our son is currently playing with the middle school team but not getting much instruction there.
Does anybody know how much it generally costs? I've been getting mixed responses from different people. General liability runs from 200-400/year. But to insure the bike would cost half its value? Is this right? I don't want to spill my savings on a hobby. I'm also a new rider.
I'll be needing to move out of my apartment at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for getting some boxes for packing up my belongings. I know some of the places like U-Haul and Public Storage sells moving boxes. I'm hoping to find a place that's a bit cheaper but where I can still get a good collection of same sized small and medium boxes so that they are easy to stack and move.
Anyone have two inexpensive accelerometers we can borrow for physics experiments at Great America, or know where they can be purchased locally? Thanks in advance.

Have any of you worked with a pest control company that you recommend? I would love to hear about your experience and which company you recommend.
Hi,
I'm getting married in a couple months and am looking for hair & makeup people who are either willing to travel to the hotel (in Redwood Shores) the morning of the wedding, or are located in the area between Redwood City and San Mateo. Having experience w/ Asian hair & skin is a plus.
Thanks!
There's a lot of remodeling activity in the space next to Gator's Restaurant on B Street in downtown San Mateo. Does anyone know what new business is going into that building? I hope it's another good place to go get lunch :-)
When I was a kid we had the choice of watching cartoons about a coyote trying to capture a road runner, a cat trying to eat a canary, or a rabbit outsmarting a hunter.
As a new parent I've recently become aware that there are some pretty great kid's shows on TV. We've found Jojo's Circus, Dora the Explorer and Angelina Ballerina.
I know there's more. Which shows do other parents recomment?
Hi--does anyone know a source for prepared dinners on the Peninsula? San Mateo, Burlingame best?
Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a good electrician in the Foster City/San Mateo area?
I find that elctricians behave like princes these days.
I need to install some new lighting in my home. Contacted some of the electricians recommended on this site. They won't come out to my home to discuss and provide estimates, unless a commit to give them the job. One is willing to do me a big favour and come out for $59. Some want me to do the city permit work, etc. What's with that?
Can anybody recommend a good, relaible electrician who does not consider himself God? I'd like this person to:
* Be a good electrician (of course)
* Licensed, insured, bonded, etc.
* Come to my home to discuss the required work and provide quote - free of charge and commitments
* Agree to take care of the permit
Anything like that even exists?
(sorry for the angree tone, I'm frustrated)
Does anyone know what's up with the Wine Globe on B Street? I heard it was just a temporary spot as they rebuild their other location, but this interim space frankly is an eyesore. It looks like a discount place for boxed wine! I sit at B Street & Vine (great tapas!) and look out the window at the linear opposite of aesthetics, wondering why they even bothered to move in if they had no intention of presenting a nice retail shop. Fix it or nix it!
I'm looking for suggestions for summer job opportunities for my son, who will graduate from high school in June.
He has volunteer experience: 2 summers as a counselor in training (while in middle school) & 3 years as asst. to the athletic trainer for Palo Alto High School (about 20 hours a week, 5 months of the year).
His career path is as an athletic trainer & his preference would be something in the medical field or work with young children, but he's open to many types of jobs - he's never had a paying job & his primary goal is to earn money for college.
Thanks!
I'm feeling a need to learn basic First Aid skills. Can anyone recommend a good place to take classes? I don't want to become a certified EMT - just a person who is reasonably prepared for a bad situation.
Any ideas?
Hi...I am a single, professional female in my late 30's who is seeking a well-maintained, peaceful, and aesthetically pleasing one bedroom plus apartment, condo, or townhouse preferably in Redwood Shores close to my work. My maximum rental allowance, including some utilities, is $1,400 (I was recently awarded a housing voucher). Ideally, this rental would include in-unit laundry, cable hookup, dishwasher, patio/balcony, and garage or covered carport.
Any recommendations? If you have a unit that fits this description or know of someone who does, I eagerly await your response. Your assistance is truely appreciated.
Hi, I need some folding chairs for very little (or no!) money. Thanks.
There are so many gyms out there, that offer different rates. People I talk to give me different rates for the same place. I know there are some on promotions or what not. But when I step in a gym, I feel like I'm being haggled as if I'm buying a car. What the heck is going on? I'm going to be using the same machine as the other guy. It's not like I'm getting a '05 with a V8, versus an '06 with a V6. What is the truth behind the gym scheme? Anybody know?
I would like to learn how to knit - are there any classes in the San Mateo area held late afternoons, evenings or weekends?
Hi everyone: I'm considering donating my car to a local charity, but have heard so many negative things about the process (and sometimes the outcomes) that my initial compassionate enthusiasm has turned into a bit of skepticisim. Has anyone ever donated his/her vehicle, and if so, where, and how was your experience? I could care less about my tax write-off, but moreso am concerned that my car or the Blue Book on it won't go towards the original intention -- to help someone in need.
Over the years you fine Neighbors have given me some fine recommendations.
Now it's Prom time and I'm looking for thematic entertainment for our "Magic Carpet Ride." So far we have a belly dancer, and looking for more-such as palm reader, tarot reader, contortionist, fake-henna tattooist... Any tips/leads? Thanks in advance!
Can anyone recommend a good orthopedic specialist for a wrist problem. My hubby injured his wrist in September and it's not healing. Thanks in advance for your referrals.
I watch wrestling once in a while. I noticed that a few have died recently from different causes. The latest one was Chris Benoit with murder suicide of his own family. I wonder what causes these folks to commit such crimes. Could it be the steroids, the drugs. Just a thought.
I am looking to save a few bucks on new eye glasses. My insurance covers Sears Optical, Pearl Vision and JC Penny's. I also just received a coupon for place in Belmont called "Eye Catchers Optical".
I have an eye doctor, just need a recommendations on the frames and lenses.
Thanks!
So I saw the attached webcard, and wondering if anyone has any experience with hynotherapy for weight loss. I'm restarting an exercise program that really works for me, but I'd love some extra help if this could do it. Anyone?
