Hardwood Flooring
Hi. I'm going to redo my flooring in bamboo hardwood and am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for someone who is good but not expensive. Thanks!
I would recommend Barahas Hardwood Floors in Belmont. I have used them many times for rental units and my home. They have laid red oak and pecan for me. I haven't used them for bamboo. They've done great work at a good price whenever I have used them. Call them at 650-348-7201. My only complaint is that it takes them a few days to return your call. But they do show up when promised and have always finished on time. I find them very reliable.
We used Big Oak Floors in San Carlos (webcard below) 3 years ago to complete two rooms in a house originally done by Stuart Floor in Redwood City. Big Oak will be re-doing the entire house because of water damage from a garage cabinet mishap a few weeks back. The owner, Ric, had been very helpful in suggesting woods, patterns etc and we are thinking of expanding the area based on his recommendations. Great to work with... Their number is 650-591-8651
Try Rich Antonchuk of Redwood City, 365-8865. He refurbed our 1929 hardwood floors and did the floors at my inlaws. I'm sure can help you out...
