Wedding dress rental?
Hi! I'm getting married later this summer, and a number of things in my life have taken a financial priority. So I have to get creative with my new and challenging budget. Renting a gown is honestly not my first choice, but my husband-to-be has to rent his dream day togs, so I figured I could, too. : ) Does anyone know of any local rental shops that offer gowns? On that same note, does anyone have any ideas for inexpensive, unique ceremony and/or reception sites? Thanks in advance!
Twin Pines Park in Belmont has a nice reception hall with a patio surrounded by trees for weddings. You can have your wedding outside under the oaks.
Not sure if anyone is still reading this discussion, but my sister-in-law renter her dress by going through a resource online: http://www.ehow.com/how_2093558_rent-wedding-dress.html As for venues, try Crystal Springs Pulgas Water Temple (I think it's free for San Mateo County residents), or Holbrook-Palmer Park in Palo Alto.
