art supplies
I just moved here from the East Bay so I'm still a bit unfamiliar with the businesses around San Mateo. I'm an artist so I need a quality art supplies store to go in order to stock up on all things artsy. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.
try Aaron Brothers on 3rd Ave, or Michael's on Delaware near KMart
First off, welcome to the neighborhood! There are several art stores in the area, and depending on what you need, some will have more of a tailored inventory. As the last person recommended, you can try Aaron Brothers, Michael's, and another I found on Smalltown (NC Whitcraft Home - Art Studio). Never been there but their webcard is attached -- maybe a neat new find for your art needs! Good luck, and again, welcome to San Mateo!

Michaels Arts & Crafts
Try University Art in Palo Alto, Maggie's in San Carlos, and Flax in S.F. for general supplies. For frames, try Cheap Pete's or Michaels. Best online stores are cheapjoes.com, jerrysartarma.com and danielsmith.com
