I need to get something crated for shipping
I have a large item I need to crate and ship. Can anyone recommend a place that can do the crating for me? Thanks!
When someone mentions crating, the item being shipped usually is more than your standard UPS mailing. I would recommend a professional moving service with actual crating/pallet capabilities, i.e. Bekins Moving & Storage, or perhaps even a self-storage place that has resources for this type of shipping. I've attached two possible resources below. Just be sure that the business you choose is insured! : )
Bekins Moving Service - San Mateo
Bay Area Self Storage - San Mateo
If what you are shipping is a piece of art or perhaps an antique I would highly recommend Lawrence Fine Art Shipping. I used them to ship some artwork last year and they did a great job. I delivered the work to their facility, they built the crate and arranged for the shipping. It all arrived at its final destination in perfect condition. Their phone number is (650) 624-9882.
