Smalltown is developing the infrastructure for today's local web and is a leader in online hyper-local communities. Launched in October, 2006, Smalltown has developed unique, innovative and dynamic media solutions that help local businesses reach the community. Our early success is fueling the development of a professional sales team. Six communities in the Bay Area have launched with plans for additional launches in the Bay Area and the nation. Local advertising is a $100+ billion market, and this is your opportunity to join a company in the early stages of its growth and development.

Smalltown seeks hard-working, self-motivated, tenacious and ambitious individuals to join our new sales team operating out of our downtown San Mateo office. We are accepting resumes for both inside and outside advertising sales professionals. The local advertising salesperson will have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals particularly in a high outbound call volume sales environment, superior phone and presentation skills, and 1-2 years of sales experience. Experience selling classifieds and/or display ads in local and community newspapers, yellow pages or local online media, and selling to small-business owners is highly desired. Startup experience and consultative selling skills are a big plus.
