Old magazines
Hi. I have a lot of old magazines that I want to give away. They're all 2008 & it's a mix of various types - sports, business, fashion, general entertainment, etc. I feel that this can still be put to good use. I searched our archives & at one time, Vicky was collecting for our troops abroad. But I'm not sure if she still does. Any ideas on who may want these? It would be a shame to just recycle. Please let me know. Thanks!
This sounds like a great opportunity for our local vocational programs, or other non-profit groups. Industry-specific programs would love to have your business, fashion, etc. collections. Have you also considered our school system, specifically the juvenile and detention halls, or even incarceration facilities. Many of these individuals would benefit from a bolstered reading program and current materials that would hopefully pique their individual interests. I've attached a couple of webcards which you could contact. Thanks so much!
