October 11th is Fall Compost Giveaway!
Allied Waste and RethinkWaste will be teaming up with member communities to give away compost this Fall. The compost is made from collected local yard trimmings and composted at a nearby composting facility.
Several times each year, RethinkWaste teams up with its member communities and Allied Waste to give away compost. The compost is made from yard trimmings collected at the curb from communities every other week, and composted at a nearby composting facility. The compost is ideally used as an amendment to enrich soil for lawns, gardens, ornamental plants, trees, and potted plants. By applying compost to landscaping and mixing it with soil, people put organic resources into the soil, providing a non-chemical alternative to fertilizers.
Residents in participating communities may take up to 1 cubic yard of compost (about six full garbage cans) at no charge at select locations as long as supplies last. Citizens bring shovels, gloves, containers, and proof of residency, and leave with rich compost for their gardens.

Hecate (disambiguation).
Hecate was originally a goddess of the wilderness and childbirth, naturalized early in Mycenaean Greece or in Thrace, but originating among the Carians of Anatolia, the region where most theophoric names invoking Hecate, such as Hecataeus or Hecatomnus, progenitor of Mausollus, are attested, and where Hekate remained a Great Goddess into historical times, at her unrivalled cult site in Lagina. Popular cults venerating her as a mother goddess integrated her persona into Greek culture as In Ptolemaic Alexandria she ultimately achieved her connotations as a goddess of sorcery and her role as the "Queen of Ghosts", in which triplicate guise she was transmitted to post-Renaissance culture. Today she is a goddess of witches and Hellenic Polytheistic Reconstructionism. Some neo-pagans erroneously refer to her as a 'crone goddess' which is incorrect with her original virginal image in ancient Greece.
One aspect of Hecate is represented in the Roman Trivia. The earliest inscription is found in late archaic Miletus, close to Caria, where Hecate is a protector of entrances.

Okay, but there are better places

It looks like the thing to eat at Taqueria La Cumbre is one of their plated meals or anything with enchiladas. My friends each dined on those and they looked fantastic. Good salsa, too. The guacamole and burritos, however, were subpar. The guac looked like it came out of a condiment squeeze bottle. And the burritos were engulfed in a giant, steering-wheel sized tortilla, and the goodies inside were minimal. In San Mateo, both Tres Amigos and and Pancho Villa (my fave) yield better in this department.

Any recommendations?

RE: Looking for a recommendation for a Podiatrist
Jeffrey Gregori in San Carlos. I had several experiences at PAMF with podiatrists, regarding very painful plantar fascitis, and he was the only person who was more thorough, and actually gave me practical treatment, and recommendations for home exercise that worked. It healed, and has stayed healed. He had been filling in for someone at PAMF, then returned to his San Carlos practice, on Laurel.
