Anti-pull Harness for Dogs
We just got a labradoodle who is around 18 months old and stil pulls on the leash. We found a device at WalMart called "Anti-pull harness" by Yuppie Puppy. Does this work? Is there any special technique we should be aware when we use it? Thanks in advance.
We have a goldendoodle. He loves his walks and would pull us along if we didn't use a Halti. It is very effective. We bought it at Pet Smart.
Oy, good luck! We have a labradoodle and we went through three trainers and two professional dog walkers, and she still pulls. (One trainer went so far as to suggest dog tranquilizers.) I've met some other labradoodles and, in general, they seem to have a similar disposition. Fun dogs.. lots of energy and personality, but you have to be the dog whisperer to get them to behave sometimes.
Try the SENSE-ation harness! www.softouchconcepts.com And enroll in a good, structured, positive reinforcement based training class with experienced, certified trainers. Like Pets In Need Canine College starting June 7 & June 9. 8 weeks for $120. www.petsinneed.org or http://home.earthlink.net/~swindogs/modardogtraining2
