I want to learn basic First Aid skills
I'm feeling a need to learn basic First Aid skills. Can anyone recommend a good place to take classes? I don't want to become a certified EMT - just a person who is reasonably prepared for a bad situation. Any ideas?

My son was required to take a CPR/First Aid class in his senior year of high school. The class was excellent, and taught through a local chapter of the Red Cross. Here's a link that will give you some more information: http://www.bayarea-redcross.org/training/register.htm
