Old-school movies?
Hi -- does anyone know any theatres in the area that show black-and-white and/or foreign films? I go to the Varsity in Palo Alto but with this great weather, it sure would be great to walk to downtown San Mateo or Burlingame for some old-school flicks. Maybe even the century theatre on B Street could have a week-long vintage-fest. Is anyone else interested in this?
I would love to see the downtown San Mateo Century theater mix it up a bit and add some classic old movies to their rotation. There's been more than one time that I've walked down just to see what was playing and ended up just walking away because there were no current releases I was interested in seeing. It does seem that many of the current movies being made are not even worth the investment of 2 hours, much less the $9.00 ticket. I agree with LoveAudrey. Let's bring back some of the classics. How about a Hitchcock week?
