Cookies to die for
Seriously. Even if you're not into gourmet, incredibly tasty, made-to-order, reasonably-priced, hunger-satiating sandwiches, do your tastebuds a favor and pop into Specialty's for one of their transcendent treats. I have to stop typing now, because I am getting chocolate goo all over my keyboard. Go to Specialty's. Just go.

There must be a (sandwich) God...
I used to work in San Bruno, and just uip the road off 280 lies an incredible sandwich spot. I no longer work in that area, and the other day, when rounding the corner of Norfolk at Paradise Plaza, I was nearly brought to tears of joy: Specialty's Cafe has made its way to San Mateo. All I can tell you is get there early, get your incredibly fresh M-T-O sando, and get a cookie. It doesn't matter which one. Just get one. Get a dozen and be an office hero. And then, get used to eating here often. Because you will.
