Looking for good price for new wall to wall carpet
Want to put in new carpet and need good priceI knew this dealer in San Jose "Biddick Carpet" but cant find him? Does anyone know him or anyone else that is good? I have 2 rooms wall to wall needing new carpet.
I'd suggest Affordable Carpets in San Mateo, 650-274-2589. Ask for Dan. He's been doing carpeting for over 20 years. A fanatic about quality work, he believes in ALWAYS doing the job RIGHT, the FIRST TIME. To ensure top quality on every job, he always works on every job with his crew. He only hires a few installers/helpers that he knows will do the quality of work he demands. From inexpensive carpeting to the most expensive, the quality is consistent. He's done 3 carpeting jobs for me in the last 15 years, and he's the only one I want doing my carpeting (although I'm sure there are others just as skilled and dedicated, he and they are exceptions to what's usually done). By the way, did you know that all carpeting from the BIG stores is installed by individual subcontractors, not employees of the store? That means installation quality can vary wildly from one job to the next, depending on which crew does the work. Affordable Carpets doesn't have a storefront, just a very small warehouse. They buy their carpeting directly from the same wholesalers that the big stores use. When business is slow, some of their work is as subcontractors to the big guys. For only two rooms, Dan would use only one helper or might even do the job by himself. His prices are very low, and he gives free bids after visiting the jobsite. He'll bring carpet samples when he comes to do the bid if he's had a chance to talk with you on the phone first to determine what you specifically desire. If you're not sure, he'll guide you through the various choices and options. If you've got your basic room measurements and are fairly specific about what you want, he can even give you price ranges over the phone, but won't give a firm bid until after seeing the jobsite and doing his own measurements. If you call him, tell him I sent you. {Wow! I sure write a lot, huh!?!) Bruce Grant Cost-Effective Solutions 650-595-5961
Well it really depends on the quality that you want...we have lots of great choices in the area...check out the attached webcards! I have used both Conklin and Acme and can highly recommend them both, but the others are supposed to be good as well...
