Not the cheapest, but the best

I have a 2001 Acura MDX with over 180K on it. I've owned it since it was new. During the warrantee period I had it serviced at Serramonte where I bought it - I strongly recommend against using them unless its a dealer-only warrantee issue.
After those first couple years, I discovered Honda Hospital and have been a happy customer ever since. The first time they serviced my MDX they discovered that my cabin air filter had NEVER been changed - yet I'm pretty sure Acura of Serramonte charged me for that service at least once. (It is obvious if that filter's ever been changed because you need to cut off a piece of plastic to get it out).
Honda Hospital is very courteous. The place is clean. The people (Dave, Robert, Chris, etc.) are polite, nice and thorough. Even the mechanics, who you'd never see at most shops, are articulate, tidy and helpful. They go out of their way to help you resolve those little nagging issues (noises, rattles, etc.) that other shops will just ignore if they can't reproduce them within about 30 seconds.
I doubt that Honda Hospital's prices are the cheapest. But the one or two times I've shopped around when I had more major services to do (e.g. timing belt, spark plugs, hose replacements), their prices were just slightly higher than the cheap options. Knowing that the work will be done thoroughly, done right and backed up is worth more than a few dollars savings.
One more thing that sets HH apart. When I've had questions or issues that were unique or challenging, they've been very helpful in researching the problems and helping me with the solutions (even when it wasn't something they were going to make money off of). This has happened to me a couple of times since I have the earliest model MDX and I drive more miles than most people (try finding another MDX with more than 180K after 7 years).
