What packs them in at Suruki?
Does anyone know what the deal is at Suruki? I was walking by the other day after work and was going to stop in to get some frozen edamame but there was a big crowd of people in the store. I couldn't easily get in the front door so I skipped my errand but now I'm curious about what the attraction was. Can anyone enlighten me?
The telling comment was "after work" - Suruki typically knocks down its fresh sushi and other packaged to 50% Off at the end of the day, and there's usually a rush of people taking advantage of the reduced prices.
Definitely the end of day discount sushi rush. Last time in I heard the clerk repeating to the waiting crowd as the sale began "no pushing, no running, please proceed calmly to select your purchases". It really is a sight to see and the crowd confirms that the sushi is worth the wait and quite the value.
