Looking for a casual restaurant with an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Any suggestions?

Well, depending on what type of restaurant you're looking for (breakfast joint, lunch stop or casual dinner), there are a few choices on the Peninsula. Coyote Cafe (Belmont), Copenhagen Bakery (Burlingame), La Scala (Burlingame), Laurel Street Cafe and Piacere (both in San Carlos). I'm sure there are others...?? Also, I think Mandala Lounge has what they call "Yappy Hour" on Tuesdays, lol. Check out this website for additional California locations that welcome your pooch: http://tinyurl.com/eypr4 (www.dogfriendly.com). Good luck!

I've seen owners with their pets at the arious Whole Foods Markets around town. This is uber-casual, but you can always get something fresh and delicious from the salad bar or deli. Weather permitting, you can grab dinner and enjoy outside with your pet. : )

Not sure for what type of food you're looking, but two good breakfast/lunch spots that I can think of are in Burlingame: Christie's and the Copenhagen Bakery. They don't allow dogs INSIDE, but they have outdoor seating. The Steelhead Brewery in Burlingame also has an outdoor patio area, and is a goodp lace for gourmet sandwiches, salads, and high-quality burgers.

Not a restaurant but Bean Street Coffee always has a water bowl for man's best friend at their front seating area. They make great cup of coffee or espresso and have a variety of desserts and light snacks. They also carry some breakfast items like individual quiches and some pre-made sandwiches to eat there or take away. And they're nice people to boot!

Not food but I know Mandala Lounge has a Yappie Hour in the Summer months with water and treats for the dogs in their outdoor dining area!
