installing parallels on a Mac
Does anyone have a Mac computer guy/gal that comes to their home? I'm looking for someone who can install Parallels onto a mac. It looks to complex for me to give it a try. Thanks, Charlene in Belmont
If it's what I think it is, did you buy the program at the Apple store? If so, maybe a Mac Genius at the Genius Bar can help, and maybe at no charge. Give the Apple store a call and see if they can help. There's a new Apple store opening at Hilsdale Mall also on Saturday. Good Luck!
The man you want is Joe Pieri at TechTeam2Go at 408-621-2964. Ask him to send Sean. He just did this for my husband. Tell him I referred you. Micki
Hi Charlene- Installing Parallels is pretty straight forward if you have all the pieces prior to starting (i.e. your Windows software as well as the Parallels software). If you are still having problems, I'd be happy to make an appointment with you to help you through the installation. You can contact me at the information below. -frank 650/226-8401
i have it installed on my mac. the default parallel option is to use part of your current hard drive as your "Windows PC". if your hard drive is small this can be a problem. my recommendation to install the "PC" on an external hard drive. during installation of parallel on your Mac, you set it up so that the external hard drive is the location of your PC. if you buy a large external drive, you can partition it so that part of it is your PC and the remainder can be used as a back up drive - say for time machine, etc.
