The ground floor is layered with a cornucopia of baby items from newborn to two-years, including such rarities as snowsuits, communion dresses and flower girl ensembles. We carry new, gently worn and one of a kind wearable art for children sizes NB to size 16. We even have children's shoes! Our large selection of maternity clothes soothes the pocketbook, while maintaining the stylish aesthetic. Ricochet is a must for the mother-in-the-making for the finest in maternal fashions. We’re always coming up with new products and ideas. Our most popular new product is our new children’s shoes, which feature great quality European Style at a reasonable price. We have many customers returning for the next size up. In our toy section, we carry wooden toys, hand puppets, castles, and puzzles mainly from Melissa and Doug products. If you need a last minute birthday or baby shower gift, this is the place. In our second floor theatrical costume shop, we help children and adults with their costumes. We’ll work with your ideas, imagination and budget to create a great costume for Halloween, as well as school or community plays.

Hidden treasure
This is a great shop for unique cloths and gifts for kids. Jill, the shop owner, has great soul and style and couldn’t be more helpful. She’s truly gifted with an eye for fashion and style and manages to fill the small shop to the rafters with really cute stuff. It’s one of those boutiques where shopping is fun – like a treasure hunt. She even designs her own one-of-a-kind garments for children that are beautiful and unique. Definitely check them out when you're traveling on El Camino in San Mateo. They're right across the street from Safeway. golden's review

Ricochet
I have always been curious about this little hole-in-the-wall store on El Camino and today I had the opportunity to visit. It was such a great adventure, I felt like I was in a quaint shop in Paris. There was so much to take in - from European shoes, Biscotti dresses, fairy wands, books, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind clothes designed and made by Jill, the owner of the store. Upstairs is a great collection of barely-used clothing. Jill takes clothing on consignment which is always nice to know about when you have little ones who grow out of their clothing overnight. I was so delighted to find this store - it is nice to have an alternative to Gap/Gymboree/Nordstrom's.
