I've used Keystone Gifts from orders of 30 items and 600. From t-shirts to pens to mugs to jackets and much more. If you want it Liz will get it and at a great price. They have great customer service often times stopping by my office to drop off a sample or a proof. They've educated me on the various printing processes and explained to me what works and what doesn't. We are a non-profit organization so funds are limited but Liz worked closely with us to find the perfect match that stayed within our budget. Highly Recommended!!
I have recently been interviewing realtors to sell my San Francisco house. Of the 3 I have spoken with, Alan was the only one who actually listened to me and answered the questions I was asking, not beating-around-the-bush or telling me things I wasn`t interested in or twisiting answers to what they thought I wanted to hear. And believe me, I ask a lot of questions, so I was pleasantly surprised that he was so well informed and honest. I think this is the most impressive thing about him - his honesty. He pretty much told me what he thought about the market, my house, what I needed to do to sell it, what I could realistically list it for and what I should expect to sell it for. I was amazed. It wasn`t necessarily what I wanted to hear, but I appreciated his honesty. I believe I`m in a much better position now to list my house and my expectations are much better aligned to the reality of the current market. All thanks to Alan. He will be my realtor and I would highly recommend him to family and friends.
I bought a bike here and was really happy with it.... but 3 weeks later I went with my girlfriend to buy one at a bike store in redwood city and the same bike I bought was $400 less. I called talbots and explained I felt a little taken. In not so many words, I was told sucks to be you.
I was impressed with this shop. I went here based on recommendations from co-workers. I wanted to find a place that people felt comfortable with. I heard their name over and over and over. I took my Toyota pickup in for service / repair and found that it is a great family run business. I was extremely happy with the quality of customer service and workmanship. I opened the hood when I got home and found that the engine and underhood was cleaned spotless. As I dont know much about my trucks motor or anything under the hood it was nice to see that they cleaned the engine up... It just shows that the mechanic who worked on my car took pride in his workmanship. I will be recommending this shop to my friends and family. botom line, they are trust worthy and extremley knowledgeable at what they do. I shall return!
Some friends told me about their lunch at Rave, which they really enjoyed. I thought the food was plain and a bit pricey for what I got. The service was somewhat slow (off-timing in the kitchen and not quite what I ordered), but the waiter was eager to please. The deco hasn't deviated from its predecessor (Ono Grill) and has remained simple; there are also some enlarged artwork funnies. Although my first time was on the disappointing side, I'm willing to try it again, as I got the feeling they are still working out some kinks.
Fantastic new diner. We tried this diner for the first time yesterday and decided to "navigate" more of the menu than we typically would. My wife and I split an Ultimate Bacon Burger on wheat and a Farmers Seasonal Salad. The kids had hot dogs and chicken fingers. The food was great and unexpectedly well presented. The shake was well above average. They have a modest beer list that includes a couple of local breweries on draft (Trumer, Boont). Great apple pie. A notch above the usual suspects.
Alan not only listed my Hillsborough home... got 5 offers in 5 days sold it for $200K over the asking price! Let him be your true resource for all your real estate needs. With his honesty and integrity - he is the best real estate guy for me, friends and family. I referred Alan to another friend of mine, who was a first time home buyer. He really did take the time to explain everything to her so that she could make the biggest investment decision of her life. I will continue to recommend Alan to other friends and family. Give him a call - you will be glad you did. Sincerely, Marc Korody Korody Business Services Burlingame, CA
For me personally, bodywork and massage therapy are the gifts I give myself for numerous reasons. I have found them to be just as important to my wellbeing as exercise and healthy nutrition. Like most people, my daily life is stressful and consumes a tremendous amount of my energy, leaving me tense and drained. Through the talents of Jim Tillotson, we have established alternating sessions of Shiatsu and table massage which successfully balances out my physical and mental self. Jim has many special gifts which he willingly shares with his clients. When I experience back twinges, I am now able to use a technique Jim had taught me to quickly alleviate or lessen the problem. He asks and he listens, which I appreciate. My hope for anyone seeking relief from pain and/or stress is that they discover the benefits of bodywork and massage therapy with Jim.
This is a great place to take the family for a treat. The ice cream is top notch and prices are very good.
... and nice service, too. Main Street offers a great locale to pop in before or after the movie, or at any time. The service was friendly and efficient, and I enjoyed a fresh and light panini (caprese, mmmm) that didn't bruise my wallet. The small side salad with pimento olives was of nice proportion to the sandwich, and dressed perfectly. It was very difficult to walk away from the taunting desserts, so now I have another excuse to go back. Nice place for a quick bite or relaxing break.
Formerly Houlihan's, this is a wonderful little secret just off 101 near the San Carlos Airport. If you like steaks and chops, this is a fabulous place. Generous portions reflect the higher price, but it's well worth it. Nice dining atmosphere, and the bar welcomes the after-work crowd. Not the best place for a date, but it's a lively setting that will certainly satiate that carnivore craving. A decent wine list complements the simple yet varied menu. Recommend you buy the bottle, as it is more economical and you won't risk that two-day-old-already-open-glass-o-red.
It looks like the thing to eat at Taqueria La Cumbre is one of their plated meals or anything with enchiladas. My friends each dined on those and they looked fantastic. Good salsa, too. The guacamole and burritos, however, were subpar. The guac looked like it came out of a condiment squeeze bottle. And the burritos were engulfed in a giant, steering-wheel sized tortilla, and the goodies inside were minimal. In San Mateo, both Tres Amigos and and Pancho Villa (my fave) yield better in this department.
Compared to the Melting Pot in SJ and of course La Fondue in Saratoga, this place is OK. Menu is not as extensive as SJ and they don't have my favorite cooking method- tempura. But otherwise the atmosphere and service is pretty good and your best bet is to go on Wednesday or Monday night (Ladies night is a great deal 1st Wednesday of the month, and Monday they do free wine). It's nice to be so close to the train station. So close.
This place has the only burrito in the world that I will eat the entire thing in one sitting it's so good. The chicken teriyaki burrito not only has some heavenly creamy- sauce stuff, but also a canteloupe/mango salsa and teriyaki rice! Man, oh man is it delicious. And it's good in the tacos too! My bf always gets the Coyote chicken burrito and he loves it.
This place makes me happy. Great service and really, really fun environment. This is the kind of place that I would have loved to have my b-day party at as a kid. I really apprecite the brave kid they have out on El Camino dancing around in an ice cream costume. Please go here so they succeed- everyone could use some fro yo!
I have already purchased my tickets to this event! Still thinking about my costume should I go as dracula or MAYBE a gold painted oscar. Anyway this is the best event in burlingame for those adults who do not want to travel to SF
Make sure you check your car after going to PEP Boys, or better yet, if you have the time, hang around and make sure your service requests get done. I had to come back TWICE after inspecting my car and realizing that neither the tires had been rotated nor had my spark plugs been replaced. I knew they didn't rotate the tires when they had to call me back and ask where the wheel lock was. As for the plugs, geez. The service manager was very apologetic and gave me a discount off of future service, but I may limit it to an oil change or alignment, nothing major.
If you have a vision in your mind of what you want your cabinets to look like, take my advice and go custom. Then call these guys, ask for Daniel or Marc, and they will take it from there. They use the highest quality woods to sculpt your cabinets and do it for a fraction of the cost of their competitors. The cherry cabinets they built for my kitchen get more attention than my flatscreen.
The new owner, Suzanna, just helped me design a beautiful cherry kitchen. She does all the integration of space and design and then uses a local custom cabinet shop called Custom Woodworks & Mfg. I took it upon myself to go visit the cabinet shop directly and found out they'd been there and a BBB member for over 30 years! Thanks Dezign Studios and Custom Woodworks. I love my kitchen!
After seeing its stellar reviews on Yelp, we decided to try them out almost a year ago and it is always such a fantastic experience. My clothes come back smelling great and the service is perfecto! The alterations I send in come back expertly done and even pressed at no extra charge. Their prices are definitely reasonable considering that they always take their time to clean, even if it means 2-3 times. AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! Other places I've been to can't seem to do half as good a job but charge me more for stains and misc "stuff". Definitely recommending this place to others. I just hope it won't get too crowded there once people find this hidden gem. =)
I bought a washing machine last night from Sears. I had done my homework and knew what I was looking for, but of course wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal possible. I wandered around the appliances and it took more than a few minutes before a salesperson approached me. But once he did, Gary was great to work with. He was candid and pointed out all the vendors and machines within my budget. Even though he is on commission, not once did he try to steer me towards a more expensive model. I picked up my appliance within :30 minutes. Gary also assured a 30-day best price guarantee, so if I find my purchase anywhere else for less, I will be refunded the difference. Sears has been around forever, and with good reason. I'd definitely buy there again.
My husband and I ate at Pomaroma the other night and were impressed with the freshness of the food and the excellent service. We started out with the antipasti appetizer, which was delicious. For entrees I had the 3 cheese ravioli and my husband had the seafood penne. Everything tasted good and our waiter was attentive without being obnoxious. We will definitely be back!
This is a place that tries very hard to be trendy with music and bright lighting and a very young staff running around in silly black uniforms with headphones because apparently it is too much effort to walk 15 feet to talk with your colleague. They do, in fact, spend a lot of time preening and talking to one another, but not the customers. It is as if you've stumbled into a cliquish junior high party. On a recent vist, I was greeted by one of the five sales associates huddled around one another at the front door, but not one offered to help me. I had come in search of a new cosmetics line as well as some upscale hair products that I was having difficulty finding elsewhere. If anyone had bothered to help me during the time I spent wandering around the store, I would most likely have spent a fair amount of money that day. However, despite eventually discovering some of the products that I was looking for, I was so offended by the arrogant, dismissive attitude of the so-called employees that I left the store, never to return. You're selling mascara and overpriced shampoo, kids. Get over yourselves and try working for a living.
I have always received excellent treatment from the owner of the shop. The people who work there know what they're doing. I definitely recommend that people give it a try. It is definitely worth it. If there is anything wrong with your car, it will get fixed correctly.
Excellent carpet cleaning and guaranteed. We switched from a more healivy advertised company and are getting an all around better deal with Baker's.
Pinkies is great because they remember me and treat me well. The manicurists are friendly do a great job. I've been going here for over 2 years and only had sub-par french. It wasn't even that big a deal but they gave me my next one free and I have not found cleaner salon on the Penisula.
I like baking their pizzas and the price is reasonable despite the recent $3/- rise. We like the veggie thin crust delite and the chicken garlic. The regular pizzas are cheese and tomato suace heavy so we order them with half of each. For $2/- it comes on a honey whole wheat crust. The coupons take $2/- off the family and they give a frequent user card which end up with a free single topping pizza after a dozen. The stuffed pizzas are a huge meal.
My son has been going to San Mateo Gymnastics for about five years and started in the recreational classes. He is now on the competitive team. He has enjoyed this gym from the beginning and his enthusiasm has not wavered. He has received instruction from several excellent teachers and coaches and liked them all. They have all displayed their own enthusiasm for the sport and have patience with the kids. Safety is emphasized while they develop the kids' skills in a fun and encouraging way.
The minute I walked into the door I was greeted by their extremely nice employees. They informed me about their upcoming tournaments, their try before you buy policy where you can play any of the games in the store before you buy them to make sre you like them, and how I can preorder games before they come out. They have an club card that can get you very nice discounts on used merchandise, and extra money on trade in games you don't play anymore. I got to trade in all my old games and get new ones in return, all from a very knowledgeable staff and a very comfortable shopping enviornment. Will definitely come back again!
I discovered Emma last week. Such a unique place! The atmospher and ambiance is amazing. Coffees are the best in town and food is delicious. At night times with the dim lighting underneath the chandlier and candle lights is the ideal place to chill out and lounge. If the owner Amir is there have a chat with him. He engages with every one and loves to get feed back. Check out their lunch time specials. Definilty a place to go for quality time with your friends or just relax , get on the web and have the best coffee in town.
Stopped into the new Emma Cafe next to the downtown theater for lunch today. The flyer in the window caught my eye as they were offering Panini's for just $5 as a lunch special. I enjoyed a nice fresh chicken club panini sandwich which includes a side salad of spinach leaves in a raspberry vinaigrette. Between the great sandwich. the calm atmosphere and the free Wi-Fi (I'm writing this from the restaurant) it made for a really nice break from my hectic day. Amir the owner was so welcoming and interested in making sure everything was to my liking - such a contrast to many places where they barely look up from the register. I'll be returning again soon.
My first visit there was a very nice one, I got the help I needed, they were very nice and seemed grateful of my business. My second visit there was not like the first. I went to look for some accesories, and all my questions were answered shortly, I felt like they were just brushing me off. I delt with different people each time, so maybe you just have to get lucky there, but I will probably go back for my still camera needs.
Zoltan is reliable, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and has a great sense of humor. He chooses his employees carefully, and they display the same great work ethic that Zoltan does. Zoltan and his crew just painted my whole upstairs (interior), helped me choose colors, even used special paints to create a magnetic chalkboard in my son's room. This is the third (maybe more?) job that Zoltan has done for us, and we've been very pleased every time. I'd never call another painter. Thanks, Zoltan!
I like to get take-out dinner from here. The food is delicious - I've had chicken & salmon teriyaki here & everything is prepared well & served with salad and rice. Large portions & great service from a nice older couple who are generous with their attention. It's right on 25th Avenue in San Mateo. Give it a try!
I didn't think I would love pizza at this place but WOW - it is FANTASTIC! The crust is thick but light & the pizza comes in the dish it was baked in; keeping it toasty and hot. This has become one of my favorite pizza places! On to dessert - they have something called "Pizookie" which is also FANTASTIC! It is a giant cookie or brownie, served in it's own baking dish (again) and topped with ice cream. Yummy!!
Derek painted a few rooms in our house. He did a very good job, and he is wonderful to work with. I highly recommend him.
Pasta here is precooked. If all you are interested in is a big plate of boring food, then this is the place for you. The best pasta in the area is to be found at Il Fornaio in Burlingame.
I don't particularly care for Indian cuisine, but a couple of friends who really enjoy it invited me to lunch with them at Nawab. We decided to try the buffet, which was good. I tried some things that I surprisingly liked, and some things that I probably won't try again. But that is the beauty of the buffet! It was also a bit pricey, but I was assured that this was authentic Indian and not some knock-off chef. Again, not really my bag, but for those who favor this exotic cuisine, Nawab offers a nice variety, good service and a clean establishment.
This place is great! brand new in blemont on el camino a few blocks south of ralston on the west side. Way better than yummi yougart no lines and they also take debit/credit. Many flavors and they offer other foods besides yogurt and ice cream. Hot dogs nachos ect. large venew and very delightful staff.
I like this theater because it is centrally located downtown, with several resturants around with a nice parking garage right next to it. The surrounding area is not the best. Its nice to have something north of redwood city.
I love their pizza - it's thin crust and the sauce is tangy. I usually have it delivered, as their restaurant is a little too crowded & noisy for my taste. I don't think I've ever met anyone who has had Toto's & didn't like it! I'm taking 1/2 a star off just because of the crowded/noisy element. Otherwise; it's one of my favorite pizzas.
I have baby fine hair & if it isn't cut well it looks horrible. I have never been unhappy with Josette's cuts, styles, highlighting, etc. She continues to get training so she is up-to-date on styles. I have gone to her for years now & I don't plan on changing that until she retires!
The staff was very nice, and seemed pretty knowledgable. But still just your average game shop. It's a neat concept, but I don't know how effective it is.
This is a great computer shop with a helpful staff and a good inventory with competative prices. They have always been able to help me. Will do business with them in the future.
These people were not help to me at all. I went in to ask a simple question, and after waiting about 5 mins for someone to come to the front counter, they could not answer my question. They were definatly not interested in my business.
These recruiters did not stop calling me for several months even though I asked them many times to stop. I know they are salesmen and they are not supposed to take no for an answer but it became extremly annoying. I would not recommend going there unless you are serious about joining, otherwise do research elsewhere. 1.5 stars because they were fairly curtius while on the phone.
These are great burgers, and at a good price. A great place to take a date before or after a movie which is only a half a block away. I recommend it and will definatly go back myself.
This place is not like the old garages with a greasy mechanic on duty. This is a professional shop with clean cut employees who treat their customers with courtesy and attention to detail. I have personally recieved better service here than in most department stores I go to! Since auto repair is expensive, I'd rather go somewhere I'll be treated well. They have a great website if you want to check it out. I have attached their webcard too.
This is definatly yummy yogurt! Big portions and tasty treats, for a good price 4 stars for the long line that seems to be a constant there
The employees are always nice and willing to help. They able to answer all my questions. Will definatly shop there again. 4stars for price, just a little more than the big guys.
