It is worth the AAA membership price just for the convenience of renewing DMV auto registration in an uncrowded, friendly atmosphere. They also have a great selection of maps and are very knowledgable about trip planning.

I have been a member for 12 years. It's a one stop shop, travel, DMV and insurance. What a convenience. Once you are a member, every map of anywhere you wish to travel is at you fingertips, no charge. The travel center is very informative and helpful.
I stopped by at lunch to grab some maps and got sidetracked by the great little travel shop hidden away in the office. It's packed with convenient items like travel pillows, stylish carry-on bags and all the little niceties that make travel endurable. Why was I happily engrossed in at all this travel paraphernalia when I don't even have a trip planned? Maybe it's because a vacation is sooooo long over due. Anyway I had to exit quickly when the travel posters and brochures started calling my name. But I was reminded that this office is a great time saver for all things travel related.
Most just think of them for road service but we booked a trip to Kauai and they saved us about $1000 and we got so many comps and it was a great trip.
