They used to be over on 25th but recently moved downtown. Now I can skip the drive and conveniently walk and get a filling meal for a good price. I have my favorites (#9 & #26) and appreciate this is a no hassle process. Order by number, tell them what you want or don't want on it and you get generous portions and a filling lunch. I just wrote two negative reviews for Subway, so I thought I would write something positive here. When I worked near 25th Avenue, Togo's was a good place to get a quick sandwich to go. This is about what I would expect from a franchise place. Still not quite as good as a decent deli. I did have a problem with a sandwhich maker who would put onions on when I specifically said no onions. I thought the portions were about right for the price.
Hot pastrami is the best. They really pile the meat in there. They're not skimpy like Quizno's or subway. Best of all the sandwich is so good and the meat is lean, I usually get the large and save the half later for a snack. Too bad there isn't one closer to where I work, otherwise I'd be in there more often. The service at this San Mateo location near 25th is great. They get a rare 4+ stars from me. Awesome!!!
