I love O'Neill's they have one in the city by the Giants Ballpark that is equally as great..the food is delish and the atmosphere is very comfortable no yuppies here!
Beautiful pint of Guinness! Lovely atmosphere, and it is a great place to meet new people and make new friends. It is reminds me of home back in Dublin! Come down!
O'neills is the best irish bar in san mateo, although it is a bit small. The atmosphere is friendly, great drinks and friday and saturdays night rock there. They have various live bands that come through on these nights. People come just for the music. A band that has done a great job there is rodeo clowns which is a cover band.
We've always had a great time. Friendly bar keeps and very personable owner. This place is nothing fancy, but a "local" atmosphere and cold Smithwicks. I'd recommend spending an evening or two and make some good friends from the old sod.
Great place for a date night! Sports on t.v., great libations, excellent choices for dining right there with food brought in from local restaurants!
